Thank you to our longtime partner, The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation for their generous contribution in support of Habitat for Humanity San Fernando/Santa Clarita Valleys’ Enriched Neighborhood® for Veterans!
The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation has been integral in growing our organization and service model for over 5 years; and has chosen to continue to do so with its most recent contribution. With each contribution, we have been able to expand and enlarge our programs thanks to this vital partnership. In the past, support from the Parsons Foundation has helped Habitat SF/SCV:
- Initially develop the military-specific aspects of our Enriched Neighborhood® model and establish community partners;
- Conduct research to produce the measurable results of our outcome-proven model;
- Accomplish regulatory changes at the State level to provide for access to bond funds from The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) to replicate our Enriched Neighborhood® for veterans across California;
- Open our My TIME (Trauma-Informed Military Enrichment) Veteran Enrichment Center in Santa Clarita; and
- Develop programming specific to women veterans, including workshops which address and mitigate the effects of Military Sexual Trauma (MST).
Over the next year, their support will be vital in our continuing to develop and conduct My TIME workshops, especially as we begin to select families for our next project: a 56-home Enriched Neighborhood® for low-income veterans and their families in Palmdale.
We are proud to have the support of The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation who continues to have a huge impact on human services, health care, education and cultural organizations in Los Angeles County, making it a better place in which to live.
Thank you again to The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation!
