During this time of unprecedented challenges, there are communities and individuals who are stepping up to aid their neighbors in touching and often substantial ways. This was displayed this past Saturday and will be again this coming Saturday, May 23, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a FREE Drive-Thru Hot Dog Lunch for Veterans and their families. This wonderful showing of appreciation and generosity that the Homes 4 Familie Veteran Mentors are part of. Spearheaded by Santa Clarita Grocery led by Bradley Grose, along with the volunteer group, the Guardians, comprised of Veterans, Firefighters, and Law Enforcement, and aided by American Legion Post 507 and VFW Post 6885.
WHEN: Saturday, May 23, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
WHERE: 21176 Centre Pointe Parkway #300 – less than a quarter-mile from the Homes4Families Vet REN community.
HOW: Stay in your car and drive through. Veterans must have a form of military I.D. with them.
GROCERIES for Veterans In Need
Once again, Santa Clarita Grocery, assisted by the Guardians, is dispensing an incredible amount of food to Veterans in need.
WHERE: SAME LOCATION –You will need to get out of your car; if you are unable to leave your car there will be assistance provided.
COST: a donation from $0 to $20 which helps offset the cost for those who are not in a position to contribute. If someone cannot afford to donate they will not be turned away.
WHEN (Days and Times)
- Monday and Wednesday between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
